REVIEWS Feature: Components and chassis are solid. More eq would be desireable, as bass distortion requires more frequency shaping than guitar distortion. In and out of the effects loop are mislabled. How could such a mistake be made and not caught before shipping the product?!
Quality: Seems solid, but will it ever see the light of a gig?
Value: I've tried units costing half the cost of the Juggernaut that sound better. Should have done my homework before being saddled with it.
Sound: Strangely, the Juggernaut Rat doesn't sound nearly as good as regular guitar Rats when used on electric bass. Something is wrong with the gain structure of the unit. The tone is weak. When engaging the on pushbotton it generates a pop so loud it could blow speakers on an amp or a PA.
Support: We'll seem- my unit immediately went back to ProCo for repairs.
Overall: I've always believed in the ProCo brand name, but after my experience with this pedal I'll think twice before purchasing items from them in the future without trying them out first. Terribly disappointing sound and unacceptable performance, they should recall all the units and correct the issues of this pedal. I've been playing bass for 17 years and this is the most disappointing piece of gear I've come across, a masterpiece of disfunction.
