Epiphone AlleyKat Limited Electric Guitar
6-String Electric Guitars
The Epiphone AlleyKat is a semi-hollow body guitar with an extremely versatile setup. The combination of a '57 humbucker in the bridge and a mini-humbucker in the neck position allows for a wide range of styles to be duplicated or explored. Other features include a set neck and a Rosewood fingerboard.

REVIEWS Feature: I really like the master volume knob on this guitar. It allows me to use the pickup selector switch with the master volume to make quick, live stage adjustments.
Quality: The pickups sound great, the neck is super playable and the finish is beautiful. The toggle switch is a typical Epiphone (adaquite, but not great). I've all ready upgated to a Gibson switch. The one downside to this guitar is the cheap volume and tone controls. I'll be upgrading them to Gibson as well.
Value: Lets face it, Epihpone continues to turn out a high quality, reasonably priced instrument. I'd buy another in a minuite.
Desirability: This is the guitar I was looking for, a hollow body Les Paul. It looks great, sounds great, and if I happen to back over it with a truck, I'll buy another. People are always coming up to me and asking "what the heck kind of guitar is that"? I'm happy to tell them.
Sound: The Alleykats Gibson made Hunbuckers (one 57', one New York Mini), sound great. The Mini, in the neck position, has a hotter sound than bigger 57'.
Support: I've had no need for support.
Overall: In searching for a hollow body, Les Paul style guitar with Humbuckers (I fight 2 other guitarists with single coil pickups), I have been more that pleased with the Alleykat. After some setup considerations, it has become my favorite ax.
