Gibson Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway Plus Electric Guitar (With Case)
6-String Electric Guitars
When this guitar was introduced in the mid 1990's, it became a huge hit for Gibson. Back by consumer demand, the Les Paul Double Cut is identical to that model, and again features a AAA carved Maple top and 3 translucent colors.

REVIEWS Feature: The humbuckers are the same ones that they use in the Les Paul Standards and provide noticeably better sound than the Studio. The double cutaway features only two knobs (Tone and Volume) as compared to 4 for all of the other Gibsons, which keeps it simple and straightforward.
Desirability: It's a beautiful departure from the typical Les Paul. There's no pick-guard, a feature that really streamlines the appearance. The top has a rich finish, and the translucent amber model really shines.
Sound: This melifluous hunk of wood has great sustain, tone, and sensitivity. I played on an Epiphone Les Paul for years and never realized how rich and pure sound could be until I played on my double-cutaway.
