Tascam CDGT1mkII Portable CD Guitar Trainer
Guitar Samplers
The wildly popular CD-GT1 started a whole new product category with something that no guitar player should be without. Now they've added more new features than you can shake a guitar pick at including more variable speeds, a Guitar Canceller that removes center-panned guitar from most CDs so you can play along, split monitoring, a built-in metronome and fifteen more guitar effects.

REVIEWS Feature: Where to start. This baby is packed with features. I'm a bit fussy about tuners and didn't expect this "built in" feature to replace my stand alone unit. I was wrong on that note, one less thing to carry. The same for metronome. Works like a champ. CD sound is very good, and the effects are easy to call up, mix and modify.
Quality: This is a solid, serious, peice of equiptment. It has a robust "Feel" to it and stays put on the table even with lots of stuff conected to it.
Value: Though there isn't much else out there to compare this too, I'll take a minute to tell you this is a must have unit. Like me, I'm sure you'll be taking it everywhere, and plugging into it as much as anything else you own. It's fun, it's useful, it's a must have.
Desirability: I'll say it again. You'll be more happy with this thing than anything else you've bought this year. I was curious, and bought it to satisify that need to know. Now that I have it, I can't stop using it. So easy to carry, so easy to use, this is fun!
Sound: Given it's portabilty I didn't have very high expectations for this unit's sound quality. However, the sound is very good. The effects are easy to modify and finding just the right tone is a breeze. I've been using it with headphones, but expect patch it into other gear via the line out will produce equaly pleasing results.
Overall: Get it, get it, you just must get it (no I don't work for tascam)
